Aşık Veysel commemorated on the 49th anniversary of his death
On the 49th death anniversary of Aşık Veysel, a commemoration program was held by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Neşet Ertaş Faculty of Fine Arts. Head of Turkish Language and Literature Department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Prof.Dr. Salahaddin Bekki, in his speech titled "To Be / Become Veysel", included important details from Aşık Veysel's artistic life and the cultural environment he grew up in.After the presentation, Mehmet Erhan Yiğiter and Cenk Şahin, faculty members of Neşet Ertaş Fine Arts Faculty Music Department, gave a concert of Âşık Veysel Folk Songs with the participation of music department students.
